So I thought I'd let you know what everyday life is like here for me...so here's a recap of yesterday. (today isn't done yet, so you'll have to live with day-old news)
I had been out late the night before, so I stayed in bed until about 11. After a shower and breakfast, I did some emailing and then studied Hungarian. I had 94 new words that I was supposed to have memorized, so that took me a while, so I did that until 3ish. (I ate lunch and studied at the same time.) Then, my roommate and I walked down to the metro station that's like 2 minutes from our apartment and met four of the other girls from UNH that live nearby. we all took the metro over to our professor's apartment and got there for our 4:00 Hungarian class. Class went until about 5:30, and we went straight from there to the grocery store. This was my first grocery shopping trip so far in hungary, so it was interesting trying to read lables and figure out how much things cost/how much of something I should get. We realized that we need to be careful only to get things that we already know how to make or that look really simple ot make because we can't actually read the directions...so that limited my shopping a bit :-)
after shopping, I came home and made my first homemade meal (yeah for pasta!) My roommate left after a little while to go out with some of the other people in the group. I stayed home, set up this blog, did a little reading and then went out with a few of the others to get ice cream and talk for a bit.
That's about it! hope it didn't bore you to death ;-)
This weekend might get a little more interesting than that, so I will keep you posted :-)

Pasta's great...add a different sauce and get a different meal:) How does Hungarian ice cream compare with Shane's of Maine? I guess ice cream in any language would taste as sweet! Loved the pics from your apt! Keep 'em coming! Love Dad
